Book one begins with thirteen year old Nick Faber living quietly in the small northeastern Wisconsin town of Neshotah. His life is changed forever when he is visited by a tall, thin, pale stranger, unlike anyone he has ever seen.
He is left with a gift. This gift is a highly acute sense of touch. Nick’s ability to use his new touch is both a blessing and a nuisance. As he struggles for answers, his friends, teacher, and the gruff old retired priest Professor Thomas Peach lend a hand. Father Thomas is presented with clues pointing to an ancient society that disappeared around 850 AD. This first in the trilogy takes you back to the mid-1960’s where an ancient society is discovered.
